Studs
Use
for standing rigging. The most common use is the right hand
version used with turnbuckle bodies. To determine whether
a stud is right or left hand, look at the stud as it used
on the vessel (vertical orientation) and note the slope of
teh threads. On a right hand stud the threads will rise to
the right side of the fitting. On a left hand stud, the thread
will rise to the left.
It is very important to order the correct thread. UNF (fine)
thread is the most common, some imported vessels use metric
threads. these are coarser thread and are most commonly left
hand.
Call if you need help with this type of stud.
