Sta-Lok Main Page Fittings Wedges Understanding Metric/Fractional Wedges
 
The diameter of a rigging wire is made either to fractional inch or metric dimensions (mm).
In some sizes the wedges are interchangeable; however, certain size Sta-Lok terminals must use specific(*) metric or fractional size wedges. Some sizes are identical. If your size is NOT identical, note size and type or wire with order, we will replace 1x19 fractional wedge with appropriate 1x19 metric wedge.

A special wedge component has been developed to terminate Dyform wire rope.

Important: The standard 1X19 wedge can not be used!
Rigging wire is produced into two formats: 
  Wire Wedge Type

To get a correct installation, you must have the correct wedge.
In some cases the wedges are interchangeable; however, certain size STA-LOK terminals must use a specific metric or imperial size wedge.

When ordering STA-LOK terminals for metric wire and/or dyform wire, please add the following prefix to the end of the number:
M = Metric
MD = Metric Dyform
